COMPETENT WORKFORCE

As the regional centre, our town acts as a hub for comprehensive educational, expertise and recruitment services. The multidisciplinary educational units provide services for different business sectors and the town’s employment services actively assist companies in fulfilling their needs for extra competence. The area has a labour force market with an excess of 30,000 people, including student resources of around 10,000 people for project tasks. Osaamo, run by the City of Rovaniemi, provides enterprises with the support they require for recruitment. Osaamo brings together the employees of the TE employment service, City of Rovaniemi, University of Lapland, Lapland University of Applied Sciences, and Lapland Education Centre REDU to serve enterprises.
